Got me thinking of adding lanterns to our fence in the back yard or on a post in the landscaping. A project that will have to wait til later, but very pretty. ~Light blue flowers are Catmint, dark blue-purple are Salvia Blue Friesland .
I like the idea of making a sort of planter built into the top of the rock wall for plants to grow and cascade over the side.

Blazing star (liatris), perennial. Great plant. Let the seed heads that dry up in the fall drop to the ground. You will have lots of plants if you let this happen by itself each year. This Liatris is good to repeat here and there. 6 ft. apart for great eye appeal. Happy planting..
