The Kindle ebook market is unfortunately ridden with low quality SEO books that are usually platforms for selling something else and read more like marketing spam than quality technical writing. That's not the case here thankfully and the author quickly addresses the aims of the Google indexing methodology and the logical steps to take advantage of their algorithm to promote your site. As the books affirm multiple times, SEO is neither rocket science nor a magic trick - rather it's a painstaking, time-consuming, step-by-step process that combines content production, keyword research and learning how to use all the tools available.

This is a casually written, fast read that contains the most important information about improving your website rankings in the post-Panda/Penguin era. The reader will need some basic technical knowledge and understanding of web technologies in general since the author tends to get straight into the detail rather than spending ten pages on how to navigate Software. Personally, I find this refreshing though I know some readers will prefer more hand-holding. Still, if you want fast access to the most current SEO strategies, this is a great place to start.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary review copy from the author.

This is the 2nd book I've read by Jack Davies. Prior to this, my SEO knowledge was a convoluted
mixture of the past 7 years as a web writer. Since I am currently learning about affiliate marketing,
it is imperative that I know SEO.

I had written SEO off somewhat as of an unneeded step in my web-mastering. I thought if I created
good content on decent-looking sites, the organic traffic would be enough to get the ball rolling.

In reality, I run a number of mediocre websites for different purposes. I have been doing it ALL
wrong. Most of my sites currently sit somewhere in Google oblivion, but I am confident that I
now have the knowledge to change that.

I read this book in about 4 hours and generated 8 pages of notes. I had no idea that SEO entailed
so many steps and ways to troubleshoot and repair one's ranking. As a result, my websites, as well
as those I maintain for a couple clients, are suffering.

After reading Jack's book, I now have a game-plan to consistently improve my sites in more ways
than just SEO, like:

- Wrting good content
- Improving bounce rate
- Improving grammar and typos
- Building GOOD backlinks

I could go on and on. This book is now my one-stop for search engine optimization. This, coupled
with nearly any Internet Marketing endeavor will get you a site that is a trusted authority in
whatever niche you choose.

Follow Jack's tips and don't leave anything out. This book is worth every penny.

Very useful and informative book! Though it was a quick and easy read, every page is jam-packed with really great tips, illustrative examples and clear explanations. There is no fluff or filler. It's one of those books that can be read and re-read in several layers - it serves as an easy-to-read overview of SEO and best practices but also is a detailed how-to reference, giving step-by-step guidance on maximizing your SEO in many different areas. I recently took a music marketing class and we touched on SEO. This book was the perfect "next step" to go from the basic introduction I already had to really getting under the hood with detailed information, written in a style that is easy to understand and fun to read. I plan to refer back to it often.

A good basic guide to a current topic, with plenty of detail and encouragement for a nontechie like me to hope that I can make my way around SEO.
