Meet Rex - the shepherd mix that was once feral and killed cats. Last year, he was adopted by Ed Gernon from Whittier, CA. Then only a month after he was adopted, Rex spotted a nearly dying hummingbird with no feathers and covered in ants. Ed Gernon nourished the hummingbird back the health - and the bird has not left their house since! They now call the bird Hummer. Amazing how the rescued dog became the rescuer!
