You could live your life only using Berkshire Hathaway-owned productsDaniel Roberts,Yahoo Finance 20 hours ago

If anyone doubts the significance that Berkshire Hathaway and its CEO Warren Buffett hold in the American economy, consider this: A person could go through an entire day only utilizing products and eating foods made by companies that are wholly owned by Berkshire or in which Berkshire has an ownership stake.

We at Yahoo Finance created a video to demonstrate that fact, and we call our heroine Jane Berkshire (Get it?). We ran the video on our exclusive live-stream of the Berkshire annual meeting on April 30, but if you missed it, here's the rundown of how Jane Berkshire (or you!) could go through a whole day with just Berkshire (BRK-A) affiliated products.

Wake up with an alarm clock that runs on Duracell batteries.

Take a shower using Johnson & Johnson bath products.

Get dressed; put on clothing you bought from Costco, including Fruit of the Loomsocks.

Get your morning newspaper from one of the many newspaper companies owned by Berkshire Hathaway Media Group, including, The Richmond Times-Dispatch,Danville Register, Roanoke Times, Richland News-Press, or Smith County News & Messenger.

Cook up some Ore-Ida hash browns for breakfast.

Hop into your car, which you bought at one of many car dealerships owned by Berkshire Hathaway Automotive, including Acura of Peoria, Arrowhead Cadillac, Audi Springfield, BMW of Lincoln, or Camelback Mazda.

Your car, of course, is insured by Geico.

Arrive at work and use your IBM computer.

Grab lunch from Burger King or Dairy Queen along with a Coca-Cola beverage.

Need cash? Get some from an ATM at Wells Fargo.

Later on in the day, when you need a snack, have a chocolate made by See's Candies.

On the way home, swing by Costco or Walmart for groceries, where you can stock up onHeinz Ketchup. You can pay for the groceries with your American Express card.

Those products were likely delivered to the store by way of a McLane truck orBurlington Northern train.

Time to go home—perhaps to a home you purchased from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, one of the largest realtors in the company.

Going for a run before dinner? Wear your Brooks Running shoes.

What's for dinner? Mac and cheese, made by Kraft.

After dinner, you get to watch television, courtesy of DirecTV.

.... Of course, we don't necessarily recommend a daily Burger King and Dairy Queen diet.
